Our three main products include

Pine Nestbox Shavings Bales

Our Pine Nestbox Shavings Bales are specially designed for use in nesting boxes. These shavings are carefully processed to provide a soft, clean, and comfortable bedding material that promotes the health and well-being of nesting birds. Each bale is compressed and vacuum-sealed to ensure freshness and easy handling.

Pine Floor Shavings Bales

Pine Floor Shavings Bales are ideal for creating a clean and absorbent bedding layer for livestock and pets. These shavings are kiln-dried to reduce moisture content, ensuring they provide excellent absorbency and odor control. Packaged in convenient bales, they are easy to store and spread.

Pine Floor Shavings Bags

Our Pine Floor Shavings Bags offer the same high-quality shavings as our bales but in a more flexible packaging option. These bags are perfect for smaller scale applications or for customers who prefer the convenience of bagged shavings. They provide a clean, dust-free bedding solution that is easy to handle and store.

Solution mixtures

At Highveld Shavings, we employ a meticulous chemical treatment process to ensure the highest quality of our products. After the heat treating and drying process, we spray a solution of Sabastian VC with Triazoloz L and water onto the shavings in a cooling bin with a pressure of 4 bar, at a rate of 20 to 30 liters per hour per bin. Additionally, chemical foggers with the same solution are used to fog the shavings at a rate of 9 liters per minute. Once dosed with the chemical, the product is bailed and sealed for storage.

To ensure optimal performance and safety, we use carefully formulated solution mixtures for different applications:

PRODUCT SPRAY

  • Water: 98.75% (987.5 liters)
  • Sabastian VC with Triazoloz L: 1.25% (12.5 liters)

VEHICLE SPRAY

  • Water: 20 liters
  • Sabastian VC with Triazoloz L: 0.5 liters

FOOTBATH SOLUTION

  • Water: 20 liters
  • Sabastian VC with Triazoloz L: 0.5 liters
